Wow. This blows my mind. I was digging around to get a little more info on augmented reality apps and I came across this gem. It’s an app by Dan Kaminsky that allows colorblind people to adjust the settings on their camera so they can distinguish the subtle reds and greens that are normally obscured. I can’t vouch for how it works, but if that ain’t powerfully cool, I don’t know what is.
Now if Dan Kaminsky wanted to open his app up to a wider audience, he could include the reverse: a filter that shows people with normal color vision how the world looks through they eyes of someone who is colorblind. Now that would be sick! Do it, Dan!
